Thanks so much to the wonderful Kay, Charlotte and Caroline who’ve been busy baking with the children this morning.

We’ve had a baking day for our Coffee Morning tomorrow and my word, it all looks rather fantastic.

Take a look at the pictures below to see the artisans at work!

Foody Faces!

November 23, 2015 by admin

Class One have been learning all about Healthy Eating today. We’ve tried cucumber, grapes, corn, carrot, apple, mushrooms, peppers and leeks. AND we made food faces out of them. AND we got to eat them all – and very nice they tasted too.

All the children made fabulous faces, but these five took the prize. Well done to Thomas, Ben, Archie, Libby and Chloe. Brilliant work.

Kick Boxing Champs

November 23, 2015 by admin

Wow. Check out Joel and Lily.

JoelKB2 LilyKB2

Aron Williams, three times Kick-Boxing World Champion was in school today ahead of a new After School Club that he’s running in Ramshaw.

Lily and Joel are old hands at this Kick-Boxing game and they helped Aron show some of his training techniques to the children.

Gosh we were beyond impressed. Lily and Joel were fabulous and the children were genuinely amazed at their skill.

Kick Boxing starts at Ramshaw on Monday 11th January.

Be nice to Joel and Lily.

You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry…

Planting Daffodils for The Butterwick Hospice

November 16, 2015 by admin

Too cold? No. Too windy? Well a bit. Luckily our children are as tough as old boots and had a lovely afternoon with the redoubtable Mrs Garrett and we planted lots of lovely daffodil bulbs in aid of Butterwick Hospice.  With all of your kind donations we raised a total of £80 for the charity.

Little Princess Trust

November 3, 2015 by admin

Ah bless.

Our lovely Leaha is sacrificing her wonderful head of hair for a very worthy cause.

Leaha is donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity providing wigs to small children with cancer.

Leaha will be having her hair cut in Assembly nearer to Christmas in front of the whole school and we’re very excited!

If you’d like to sponsor Leaha, we have a form in school for you to make a donation and if you’d like to know a little more about the Little Princess Trust, than just click here.

Ramshaw Bake-Off 2015

July 3, 2015 by admin

Thank you to all the AMAZING entries into the Ramshaw Bake Off this morning, in aid of Paula Anderson’s SANDS charity. Dumbfounded is not a word we tend to use, but we were. The number of cakes on offer, the time and hard work that went into making them, the generosity of our guests – it was staggering. We were all, especially Paula – quite overwhelmed.

Congratulations go to Janice Denton for her Ginger Cake, in raising the most money.

And congratulations to everyone. We raised £225 for SANDS. If you’d like to know a little more about them, then just click here.

Take a look at the pictures below and marvel at the craftsmanship of them all. Well all except the Head Teacher’s effort, anyway.

Hardwick Park Trip

June 29, 2015 by admin

Last week classes 2 and 3 visited Hardwick Park for a fun day of outdoor learning. They took on orienteering challenges and were even able to measure the height and age  of some of the trees in the park. A good day was had by all!
